Name

The name of the Club shall be 'Chinese Crested Club of Ontario' (herin after referred to as The Club).

Affiliation

The Club will be governed by the rules and regulations of the Canadian Kennel Club.

Objectives

The purpose of The Club is to:

• Promote and advance the quality and health of purebred Chinese Cresteds.
• Conduct sanction matches, specialty shows, obedience trials and any other Canadian Kennel Club events for which the club is authorized.
• Encourage sportsman-like conduct and competition at Chinese Crested events.
• Provide breed education to its members and the public.
• Encourage members to uphold and abide by the Code of Ethics adopted by the club.

Non Profit

The Club shall be operated as a non-profit organization. Any moneys generated through dues, donations or other means shall be used to further The Club’s objectives.

Area of Operation

The area of operation of The Club shall be the province of Ontario.

Revision to the Constitution

Any Club member may propose a proposed amendment to the Constitution or By-laws at any time. A seconder to the amendment will be required. The proposed amendment will be published in the minutes and voted on at the next Annual General Meeting. A two-thirds majority of members present will be required to pass the amendment.
